AOL's All Michael Jackson station has experienced an astonishing 28,471 per cent boost in listener figures.
Programming director Pete Schiecke tells WENN, “Similar to the passing of other legends, people need a place to gather and grieve as a community. For Elvis fans it was Graceland, for Kurt Cobain fans it was Seattle, for Michael Jackson fans it’s the Internet.
"We’ve received hundreds of comments from listeners who are sharing very emotional and poignant memories of the late singer. People are clearly celebrating his rich legacy, as well as finding solace by listening to his music.”
