'The Michael J. Fox Show' has been pulled from NBC's Thursday night line-up and replaced by Hollywood Game Night, the game show hosted by Jane Lynch. The network claim they are not cancelling the show but merely looking for a place in the schedule in April.
NBC has pulled The Michael J. Fox Show from its schedule. The show which airs on a Thursday night at 9.30pm has been effectively cancelled having only shown 15 of its 22 episode run.

The show, which has aired since September 2013 on NBC, has seen declining ratings. The premiere on 26th September 2013 attracted a large audience of approximately 5.2 million viewers, primarily owing to Fox's return to a sitcom after a 14 year break from series television. Unfortunately, over the passing months, the show's audience figures have declined to less than 2 million, as THR reports. There were seemingly already grumblings from the network executives about the relatively small audiences, as NBC Entertainment Chairman Bob Greenblatt told the same website: "I love the show but would have hoped for a larger audience."
Fox stars in the sitcom as Mike Henry, a news anchor who retires from his job when he is diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. After four years away from his New York station, Henry decides to return to work and balances his hectic family life with his heavy work schedule. Alongside Fox, the show starred Betsy Brandt (Breaking Bad), Wendell Pierce (The Wire) and Juliette Goglia (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation).

The Michael J. Fox Show is not the only comedy NBC is removing from its Thursday night line-up. Sean Saves the World was also pulled and in the same way effectively cancelled. However, NBC are denying the show's cancellation and instead, as Vulture reported, planning to find a place in the schedule for after April 3rd.
In its slot, NBC have placed Hollywood Game Night which will commence as of 27th February. The show, hosted by Jane Lynch, is usually aired on a Monday but as The Voice is returning will need a different slot on the schedule.
