Meghan Trainor has equalled Clean Bandit's record for the longest-running UK No.1 of the year after her pop mega-hit 'All About That Bass' secured a fourth week atop the singles chart. It's rare for a single to spend more than a couple of weeks at No.1 in the singles chart - in fact, it has only happened twice since January 2012, with Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines and Gotye's Somebody That I Used to Know.

The controversial UK Independence Party anthem 'UKIP Calypso' charted at No.44 despite being withdrawn from sale earlier in the week after accusations of racism.

The popular singer-songwriter Ben Howard topped the album chart with 'I Forget Where We Were', while heavy metal stalwarts Slipknot debuted in second with their fifth album '5: The Gray Chapter'. The album is notable given it's their first record since bassist Paul Gray died in 2010.

'All About That Bass' will be included on Trainor's third album, Title, set for release on January 13, 2015 through Epic Records.
