Will this affect the movie's release in any way? Unlikely.
Following severe backlash, Paramount Pictures have pulled the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles poster, bearing an image of the Turtles jumping from a burning building in an unfortunate combination with the 9/11/2014 release date. While online sleuths have already released screenshots of the image, the studio made a full apology and tried to minimize the circulation of the Australian promo poster.
TMNT - Leonardo's new look wasn't the biggest controversy to come out of this film.
"We are deeply sorry to have used that artwork for the marketing materials promoting the September 11 opening in Australia," Paramount Pictures Australia said in an emailed statement to Reuters. The statement continued: "Combining that image and date was a mistake. We intended no offence and have taken immediate action to discontinue its use."
Well, they know how to handle a blunder post-haste, that's for sure.

The poster was first released in a tweet posted by the Australian Paramount Pictures Twitter and was also shared on its Facebook page to more than six million fans.
