Earlier this week, 18-year-old rapper Lil Snupe was shot down in the small Lousiana town of Winnfield on Thursday (June 20) in the early hours of the morning. At the time, police were left stumped as to why the crime happened and who could be behind it, but now it looks as though the cops have a lead and are said to be searching for a man in his mid-thirties in connection with the crime.

Lousiana police have issued a report saying they are searching for a 36-year-old man who they believe shot and killed the protégé of rapper Meek Mill following an argument over video games earlier in the week. The man, named Tony Holden, has a warrant out on his name, but police have so far been unable to locate him yet. The police report went on to say that Holden is a violent man and a former convict and should not be approached by members of the public.

Lil Snupe, real name Addarren Ross, had only just signed to Meek Mill’s Dream Chasers Records earlier this year having passed on a demo tape to the rapper at a university gig. Immediately impressed with what he heard, Meek took him under his wing and signed him to his label, with Snupe releasing his first mixtape soon after. Noted for his lethal freestyles, Snupe was beginning to make a name for himself in the rap game and looked to have a bring future ahead of him, making the shooting all the more distressing.
