Will he? Won't He? I mean, he will, but, will he? Yeah he will. Shame.
It would appear as though Matt Smith is getting cold feet about leaving his role as Dr. Who. The British star, 30, was speaking at the TCA "Doctor Who" panel when he admitted to feeling nervous about his impending exit.
“I have pondered [the decision to leave] on several occasions and thought I’ve made a huge mistake,” Smith said. “What am I doing? Don’t leave! I’m slightly in denial about Matt leaving,” Coleman said. “But we have quite a lot to do yet.” (L.A Times)
Smith is still set to play the Doctor in two episodes: a 50th anniversary special and the traditional Christmas episode. “It’s important we give Matt the sendoff he deserves,” producer Marcus Wilson said. “The 50th anniversary is our most ambitious episode yet, then we need to top that to give Matt a proper sendoff.”
“I’ve done it four years,” Smith said. “I think the show has come to a natural tipping point. It’s at the top of a cycle, it’s a good time for me and the show… It was a hard choice.” So, that means you’re really leaving then Matt? It’s sad, sad news.

The special episode will see Smith battle the Daleks – Dr. Who’s perennial foe. “The Doctor once said that you can judge a man by the quality of his enemies, so it's fitting that for this very special episode, he should facing the greatest enemies of all,” show runner Steven Moffat said.
