Survivors of the murder, torture and kidnapping case in South Florida have come out against the plot line of the recent film Pain & Gain, which is based on events that took place two decades ago. Worse than that, it’s being billed as an action-comedy. Even worse than that, it stars Dwayne Johnson.

"You are talking about real people. And in this particular case, especially when you're talking about the murder victims, these were innocent victims," retired Miami-Dade Police Sgt. Felix Jimenez said to the Miami Herald of the film, which is based on a group of bodybuilders who plot a kidnap get rich quick scheme that eventually builds to murder.

Zsuzsanna Griga told The Miami Herald that the movie's depiction was all the wrong. It portrays the gang as sympathetic buffoons trying to get ahead, but she says that couldn’t be further from the truth. She should now too, her brother and his girlfriend were murdered and dismembered by them. "It's horrible what happened to them," she said Griga "I don't want the American public to be sympathetic to the killers.”
