Marilyn Manson has revealed he cannot stand the taste of absinthe, comparing it to dogs**t, despite having his own brand on the alcohol.
Marilyn Manson hates the taste of absinthe - despite having his own brand of the beverage.
The 45-year-old rocker has been a big fan of the alcoholic drink for years, and while he has his own line, Mansinthe - which is 66.6 per cent proof - he has now had to stop downing the calorific brew because he think it tastes like ''dogs**t'' and is too fattening.
He said: ''I stopped drinking absinthe in October. But only for vanity purposes.
''It's got too much sugar in it, so it doesn't suit the physique.
''Besides, I never really liked the taste. Absinthe really gets you f***ing wasted, but you have to get past the taste first.
''It's an acquired taste, but so is dogs**t.''
Marilyn has previously had stints in both rehab and a mental hospital, and admits he was ''disappointed'' that neither medical facility was as ''exciting'' as he thought they would be.
He said: ''Rehab and hospital were both very boring, not as exciting as I thought they were going to be from TV.
''I thought a mental hospital would be full of drooling people, and it's not. That was disappointing.''
Last year, Marilyn guest starred as white supremacist Ron Tully in FX drama 'Sons of Anarchy' and during his time on the show he managed to get his dad, Hugh Warner, to smoke marijuana with the cast.
He added to Loaded magazine: ''Dad was beyond elated to meet the cast, and I got him to smoke marijuana with several of them.''
The new issues of Loaded, with Noel Gallagher on the cover, is out now.
