The Hero hitmaker launched her stint at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace last Wednesday (06May15) and exactly one week later, her Wednesday night (13May15) performance was axed at the last minute.

Carey took to Instagram.com to apologise to fans and tell them about her health crisis, writing, "Hey guys.. I've been fighting bronchitis for the past few days... almost better but on mandatory vocal rest per doctor's orders. I'm so sorry to cancel tonight's show but I promise to make it up to you!!! Love you always, MC."

She is next due to perform on Saturday (16May15).
