Madonna, Lady GaGa and Taylor Swift have been named the top-earning females in music in 2013, according to a new Forbes magazine poll.
The Material Girl hitmaker already proved her superstar power last month (Nov13) by claiming the Forbes title for the highest-paid musician in the year to June, 2013 with an estimated salary of $125 million (£83.3 million), beating Gaga, who earned $80 million (£53.3 million) and rockers Bon Jovi ($79 million/£52.7 million).
The figures automatically placed Madonna and Gaga atop the new women-only countdown, which was released on Wednesday (11Dec13), with Swift rounding out the top three with $55 million (£36.7 million).
Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez earned fourth and fifth positions, with respective pay cheques of $53 million (£35.3 million) and $45 million (£30 million), while other females featured at the top of the 2013 standings including Rihanna, Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood and Mariah Carey.
