Lucy Hale is most well-known for her role in ABC's 'Pretty Little Liars,' but she has ambitions to cross over into other areas of entertainment, especially in country music. However, the 25 year-old isn't about to quit acting, and she recently recalled one of her biggest, but strangest, auditions yet.

Hale auditioned for the role of Anastasia Steele in '50 Shades of Grey'

Hale had to the chance to try and land the role of Anastasia Steele in the upcoming 'Fifty Shades of Grey' movie, and unsurprisingly it was very sexually orientated, so much so that Hale ended up feeling "so uncomfortable."

"That audition was so uncomfortable!" she told Cosmopolitan. "It's exactly what you thought it would be: a big monologue but very, very sexual...there were some things that I was so embarrassed to be reading out loud, but it's one of those things where you have to commit wholeheartedly or you're going to make a fool of yourself."

Hale also reflected on how the fans of 'Pretty Little Liars' perceive herself and her co-stars due to the show's very glamorous nature. "(Pretty Little Liars') is about how we look," the brunette beauty said. "That's terrifying sometimes because you're breaking out or you feel gross and you still have to be in front of the camera."

"We'll post pictures on Instagram and people will be like, 'Y'all are so flawless,'" she continued. "Little do they know it's fake hair, fake eyelashes and a good filter. Little girls see that and think they have to be like that."

Hale also opened up about the experience of releasing her debut album, 'Road Between,' which was released in June.

"So many people didn't want to touch the project with a 10-foot pole," she said. "Literally, I had people laughing and saying, 'You're making an album? Good luck,' but if you sit down and talk music with me for 10 minutes, you know that's my passion."
