Bosses at a Los Angeles homeless shelter have refused to allow Lindsay Lohan to complete her court-ordered community service with them - because she's a bad example for their destitute residents.
Lohan's community service at the Downtown Women's Shelter in Los Angeles was terminated last month (Oct11). Frustrated Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner then demanded Lohan put in time at the county morgue before her probation update hearing on Wednesday (02Nov11).
In court, Judge Sautner sentenced Lohan to 30 days behind bars after the actress pleaded guilty to violating the terms of her probation.
The judge also told the troubled star she would have to continue her community service at the morgue after officials at the Good Shepherd Center for Homeless Women refused to accept the Mean Girls star as a volunteer.
Judge Sautner told Lohan, "They refused to take you because they said you're a bad example for the women who are trying to get their lives in order."
A spokesperson for the shelter tells Tmz.com, "We tend to look for mature people who our residents can look up to as a role model for people to volunteer at our shelter... We want to make sure we have someone with good morals in here helping out."
Lohan must serve out her community service around her jail spell before 29 March (12).
