Lindsay Lohan shows off her surfing skills in a new short film by artist Richard Phillips.
The Mean Girls star shot the footage for First Point on a beach in Malibu, California last summer (11) and was determined to carry out as many of the board stunts as possible, before handing over to a professional surfer for the more difficult moves.
Phillips tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "Lindsay (was) very athletic and very eager to go surfing. She's a determined beginner. She (had) the necessary 'go for it' attitude... All the takes were done on the first shot. Her ability... exceeded my expectations."
The film, which features music by Daft Punk star Thomas Bangalter, will be unveiled at the Art Basel art fair in Basel, Switzerland next week (beg11Jun12).
Lohan previously filmed a 90-second video for Phillips which showed her swimming underwater. The film, titled Commercial Break, was screened at the Venice Biennale art exhibition in Italy last June (11).
