Lindsay Lohan was driving with an open container of alcohol when she smashed into a large truck on the Pacific Coast Highway last Friday (June 15, 2012). However, the Hollywood actress - enjoying a comeback of sorts - had the alcohol concealed in a water bottle, in the trunk.
According to Tmz.com, police confiscated the bottle, though it's not a violation to carry an open container in the trunk, so Lindsay is in the clear. A conflicting source suggests the bottle was actually part of the debris field at the scene, and was placed in the trunk afterwards. Either way, it looks as though the actress will not be charged for the incident, and had no alcohol in her system at the time. Initially, Lohan has claimed the truck cut her off, before saying the brakes failed on her rented Porsche. Despite her run-ins with the law, the Lohan comeback keeps rolling on, and she recently signed on for the Bret Easton Ellis penned movie 'The Canyons'. The film has been financed by the fan-funding site Kickstarter and will begin filming next month, with adult movie star James Deen also joining the cast.
As has been widely reported, Lohan will also appear as legendary screen icon Elizabeth Taylor in Lifetime's forthcoming biopic 'Liz and DICk'.
