Lindsay Lohan's lawyer has praised the troubled star for her "maturity" as she battles to revive her career in the wake of her numerous legal problems.
The Mean Girls star has been in and out of jail and rehab over the last few years and she is currently carrying out court-ordered community service stemming from a 2011 probation violation conviction.
She was in court in Los Angeles for a progress hearing on Wednesday (22Feb12), and received a glowing report from Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner, who told the star, "You seem to be getting your life back on track."
The news comes as Lohan lands an upcoming gig guest-hosting comedy show Saturday Night Live, and she is also rumoured to have signed on to play Dame Elizabeth Taylor in a TV movie.
And her lawyer, Shawn Holley, is proud of the way her client is staging her comeback.
Holley tells Tmz.com, "I think it's (Judge) Sautner's tough love, I think it's her own maturity, I think she's finally gotten it, and yeah, she's gotten some great roles and great opportunities, so hopefully all the positivity is building up... We'll watch her on Saturday Night Live and see what a good job she does."
