Despite her enviable collection of designer garments, Lily Allen has revealed that she buys all her favourite clothes in ''stripper shops''.
Lily Allen buys most of her clothes from ''stripper shops''.
The 30-year-old singer has confessed she loves purchasing garments from stores for erotic dancers as she enjoys wearing the ''wrong thing in the wrong place''.
She said: ''I get a lot of stuff in stripper shops actually and I imagine it's to put dollar bills in.
''I think there's a time and a place for everything and I like to wear the wrong things in the wrong places.''
The blonde beauty showed off her extensive fashion collection in an intimate video filmed by British Vogue at her home in which she confesses she enjoys sporting quirky pieces to spark a ''conversation''.
In the video posted on British Vogue's YouTube channel, she said: ''I like vintage stuff that's identifiable as well because it's a really good conversation starter. Clothes should be a conversation point, if you're going to spend so much money on this stuff, people might as well talk about it.''
Although Lily's wardrobe is packed full of designer pieces from Chanel to Norma Kamali, she insists she doesn't follow trends and simply dresses to suit her personality at all times.
She explained: ''Getting dressed for me is really not a thought about process and I can't put my finger on what it is, it's just there's an occasion and I know that I want to wear something that's just a little bit... I don't know. That's me!''
