Lil Wayne has shocked the hip-hop world!

The 31 year-old rapper revealed that 'Tha Carter V' will be his last solo album.

Wayne made the retirement plans announcement when being interviewed by MTV.com this past Wednesday (March 12th).

"I personally plan on this being my final solo album, yes and it's definitely the final Carter album. It's the final Carter album. It's stopping at five," he said.

To further reiterate how serious this claim was, Wayne added, "I didn't smile when I said it."

But the New Orleans native did admit he would only consider doing another if the money was right, but there needs to be a lot of it.

"25 to 35 million would get me to do another solo album after this," he told the website.

Although the album doesn't have an official release date, it is expected to be available for purchase on May 5th, due to Drake bringing Lil Wayne to the stage on one of his show's last month and making this claim.

But don't worry if you're a fan, Wayne did reveal he will still feature on tracks from the Young Money Cash Money Records' artists, such as Nicki Minaj, Tyga and Drake.

"I plan on it being my final solo album," he said. "Whenever I have to pitch in for a Young Money album, a Like Father, Like Son album and something like that and maybe something out the blue."

It also worth to note just because Wayne plans on taking a break after 'Tha Cater V' is released, doesn't mean he didn't work any less than on his other studio sets.

The 'A Milli' rapper told MTV, "It seems like it will be impossible for me to work this hard again for anything else."
