Liam Gallagher participated in a star-studded football match in Italy last night (02.06.15).
The former Oasis frontman played in the charity game alongside retired Czech star Pavel Nedved, Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero and Juventus manger Massimiliano Allegri, as well as a number of other celebrities, including 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation' actor Gary Dourdan, at the Juventus Stadium in Turin.
The 42-year-old rocker told MailOnline he was thrilled to take part, as he usually ''never'' gets invited to play at similar events ''probably because I'm rubbish.''
While Liam started the match, which was was organised by the Italian equivalent of Soccer Aid, he was substituted after just 20 minutes.
All money raised from the sale of the tickets is being donated to the Fondazione Telethon, a biomedical charity established to research genetic diseases, and Piedmont's Candiolo Institute for Cancer Research and Treatment.
The former Beady Eye singer, who supports Manchester City, previously played in a charity football match with Damon Albarn and Robbie Williams in the UK in 1996 to raise funds to help children with disabilities through music therapy.
Oasis split in 2009 after Liam's brother Noel Gallagher quit the group following an explosive row backstage at a show in Paris, but the 'Don't Look Back in Anger' hitmakers are rumoured to be planning to reunite.
A source previously said: ''It's very early days but the wheels are in motion. Liam, Guigsy, Bonehead and Tony are all interested and keen to see how it can work.''
