Lena Dunham is taking measures to insure she doesn't look like a ''monster'' in photographs from her upcoming book tour and has been studying Annamarie Tendler's make-up guide 'The Daily Face' for practise.
Lena Dunham has vowed to take photo shoots seriously.
The 28-year-old actress - who both writes and stars in the hit HBO series 'Girls' - is taking measures to insure she doesn't look like a ''monster'' in photographs as she embarks on her 15 city tour for her new book 'Not That Kind of Girl'.
Lena - who is known for her quirky fashion sense - has even been studying Annamarie Tendler's make-up guide 'The Daily Face' for practise.
She told WWD: ''I'm going to take it seriously.
''I don't mean to give anyone more fodder.
''(I) won't look like a monster in photographs.''
The Golden Globe-nominee has also teamed up with Nasty Gal's Sophia Amoruso to provide all the looks for the tour - which will stop in cities including New York, Los Angeles and Chicago - to keep her looking her best.
Lena - who met up with Sophia at her LA home earlier this year - said: ''We both travel a lot and we text a lot, [but we] don't get the opportunity to hang out a lot. It was a hybrid fitting-hangout-sandwich attack.''
Of her favourite piece from the wardrobe - a t-shirt reading 'I Like It In My Ear' - she said: ''It's witty but refined, [paired] with a black pleated leatherette skirt. It tones down theT-shirt. Knowing me, I would have put it with cutoffs, but Sophia sufficiently classed me up.''
All the looks selected for Lena by Sophia will be available to buy from nastygal.com and a shoppable look book of all the outfits from the tour went live on the site yesterday (03.10.14).
