Lady GaGa's Former Mentor Has Been Granted A New Trial After He Was Initially Ordered To Pay $7.3 Million (£4.6 Million) To A Woman Who Discovered The Poker Face Singer.
Wendy Starland sued producer Rob Fusari over claims she was never fully compensated for "discovering and developing Lady GaGa" and bringing her to his attention in 2005.
She was awarded a $7.3 million (£4.6 million) settlement last year (14), but Fusari challenged the sum and argued it was too high.
A judge initially upheld the order, but Fusari is now heading back to court for a new trial after the lawmaker discovered he had mistakenly allowed the members of the jury to hear details about an allegation involving the singer and Fusari's personal relationship, according to USAToday.com.
The nature of the allegation remains unclear as the details were redacted.
