So did Lady GaGa’s A-Rod pep talk help at all? We’ll probably never know, but the news is she’s undergone surgery to fix the problem which lead to the cancellation of many dates on her tour.
A-Rod – the professional baseball player, real name Alex Rodriguez – reportedly sat down with Gaga for a chat about the affliction, which he too has suffered. He apparently was able to calm her down prior to going under the knife. "As they wheeled me into surgery...I thought about all of your pain and perseverance, your unique family situations, school environments, health issues, homelessness, identity struggles," wrote Lady Gaga, as she so often connects with her fans. "So I thought to myself, I'm alive, I'm living my dream, and this is just a bump in the road. I'm grateful because this is temporary, and for some it is not. You have changed my life. I love you and am proud to be a part of your lives. If you can do it, I can do it too, and if we stick together we can get through anything. Love, Gaga"" she added.

Prior to surgery, she wrote on Twitter, "Going in for surgery now. Thank you so much for sending me love and support. I will be dreaming of you." The singer was forced to cancel her "Born This Way" tour due to a labral tear in her right hip.
