Lady GaGa kicked off Grammy night (31Jan10) with a fiery performance - SIR Elton John joined the outrageous singer on stage for a duet after she was thrown into a pit of flames.
The singer took to the stage solo for a high-energy rendition of Poker Face at the beginning of the show and ended the performance being tossed by dancers into the fake fire.
She then stunned fans by re-emerging back onstage seated at a piano across from the Rocket Man.
The colourful pair, whose outfits and faces were smudged with ash, played and sang each others' hits Speechless, and Your Song, as they looked at each other from the joined pianos.
Gaga made sure she paid tribute to her idol before the performance was over - smiling at him from her seat she added a lyric to Speechless: "Thank you, love you, Sir Elton John. So speechless."
