Kylie Minogue has split from her boyfriend Andres Velencoso.

The 'I Should Be So Lucky' hitmaker had been with the Spanish model for five years before their break-up.

An insider told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: ''Kylie and Andres haven't spent much time together because she's been holed up in a studio in LA working on her new album.

''He's also been trying to carve out an acting career for himself. When she signed up for 'The Voice' [UK] they knew they couldn't cope with the long-distance pressures the job would put on them.''

A spokesman for Kylie, 45, confirmed her split from the 35-yea-old star but noted their break-up was ''amicable'' with no-one else involved the decision besides the couple themselves.

It will be upsetting for the singer who previously described him as ''the one''.

She said: ''He's the one. Sound the alarm, four years. I think it's a record. I'm pretty settled.''

Earlier this year, Andres spoke of his then-girlfriend's ''supporting'' nature and describe her as a ''pro'' in their relationship.

He had explained: ''She's a pro. We support each other. That's just one of the things you do when someone's part of our life. You're supporting of everything.''
