Kylie Minogue is getting over her split from Andres Velencoso and no longer cries herself to sleep.
Kylie Minogue cried herself to sleep every night after splitting from Andres Velencoso.
The 'Sexercise' singer has admitted she isn't quite over her decision to part ways with her partner of five years last year, but is moving on with her life and is happy they have remained on good terms.
Asked whether she was still going through heartbreak, she confessed: ''I could be, yeah. I could be for sure. It's not that long ago. I'm past the crying every night stage...
''Thankfully, Andres and I are still in touch. Obviously, not like we used to be... he's a great guy, and that's important ... I'm enjoying that I'm so distracted. I'm not sitting at home pining.''
The 45-year-old star has had her fair share of serious relationships over the years, but has never married and she believes the official ceremony wouldn't have aggravated her heartbreak any more.
Kylie explained: ''I think legalities can make it a little bit more of a headache, but you know there's still heartbreak and emotional sadness and all of the things that come with bad break-up, even if you're not married.''
However, the 'Wow' hitmaker believes the pain of separating gets a tiny bit easier each time it happens.
She added in an interview with Attitude magazine: ''It does [hurt], but I guess you have resilience because it's not the first time you've been down that road. I know that I'll get through just about anything as much as I don't want to be tied down, I wouldn't wanted to tie someone else down.''
