It’s official! Kristen Stewart will be starring in a new film and this time it will be for adults.

Stewart is done with the teenage vampire drama genre and this seems to mark a new stage for her – perhaps one free of real-life drama as well. According to the Huffington Post, the flick, in which Stewart will be starring alongside Ben Affleck, could give the young actress a shot at an Academy Award.

The movie will be titled Focus and is set to film in April next year. A report in Deadline Hollywood hints that it will be executed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa. The writer-director duo has teamed up previously to work on Crazy, Stupid, Love. The film is also set to spark some controversy, featuring love scenes between the 22-year-old Stewart and her 40-year-old co-star. This may be just as well, since we all know that most Oscar bait films have to stir up some trouble along the way.

The young actress isn’t keeping still until April, though. She just recently finished the promotional tour for the last installment in the Twilight franchise. While she doesn’t have any projects lined up until April, Kristen has been quoted by Deadline Hollywood as saying that she would like to do some minor projects along the way.
