Designer Alfred Angelo has replicated the wedding dress that Kristen Stewart's character Bella wears in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, and is selling the gowns for just $799 - far less than original designer Caroline Herrera is expected to ask for her replicas next year.

The Herrera gown took over six months to make and was created by four seamstresses - it is said to be worth around $35,000 and copies will go on sale in Herrera boutiques in New York, Los Angeles, Bal Harbour and Dallas from January 2012. Speaking to British Vogue about the gown, which features 152 buttons and French Chantilly lace, Caroline explained, "I was of course inspired by Stephenie's description of the gown in the book, but I added the touch of Herrera and also took into consideration the personality and the style of the bride". However, Twilight fans without the patience or bank balances to afford Herrera's design can purchase a significantly less expensive version from New York designer Angelo. Made from satin sheath with lace applique, the dress is available now for $799 with prom versions in purple and lavender also selling fast. Speaking on Tuesday's Access Hollywood Live (22 November 2011), celebrity stylist Joey Tierney said of the dress, "It's for every woman. Everybody can be Bella. The waist is very slimming, the way they designed it. It's classy".

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 grossed a phenomenal $140 million at the box office during its opening weekend, smashing its closest competition Happy Feet 2 and Immortals. The fifth and final movie in the vampire franchise hits cinemas in November 2012.
