Kris Jenner threw her granddaughter a lavish first birthday with 150 guests.

The reality TV star, 57, helped her daughter Kourtney Kardashian, 34, celebrate her daughter Penelope Scotland Disick's first birthday at a fun-filled garden party at her mansion in Calabasas, California, on Sunday (14.07.13).

A source told UsMagazine.com that approximately 150 friends and family members, including Penelope's one-month-old cousin North West, attended the event, which was organised by celebrity party planner Sharon Sachs.

The insider said that although North, whose parents are Kim Kardashian and rapper Kanye West, was at the bash, she ''stayed in the house because she's too little to be around that many people. She's doing great though.''

Kourtney, who also has a three-year-old son, Mason, with her long-term boyfriend Scott Disick, 30, posted a picture of the huge pink and white balloons at the opulent party on Sunday, writing: ''Balloon partyyyyyy. Major Balloon party, that is.''

Kris, whose self-titled new chat show kicked off in the U.S. this week, previously revealed that she doesn't want her grandchildren to call her grandma and prefers to be known as ''Lovey''.
