Actor Kiefer Sutherland has poked fun at his action man image by pining wistfully for his high school crush in a new commercial.
The Hollywood stud, best known for playing tough agent Jack Bauer in hit TV series 24, shows his softer side as he recalls his unrequited love for a classmate, Susan Glenn, in an advertisement for Axe deodorant.
In the voiceover, he says, "I remember her. Not a girl, but the girl. If she approached, Susan Glenn didn't walk, she floated, accompanied by pyrotechnic spectacles that left me feeling a foot tall... In my mind I was a peasant before a queen and so Susan Glenn and I were never a thing."
The scene then cuts to Sutherland looking at his reflection in the mirror and remembering the one that got away as he sighs, "If I could do it again, I'd do it differently."
