When it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there are a slew of incredibly successful films building up the foundations of the superhero genre. Straight from Marvel Studios and their president Kevin Feige, an array of brilliant talent both behind and in front of the camera have done incredibly well to make huge numbers of household names out of some of Marvel Comics' most impressive characters.

Recently, 'Thor: Ragnarok' has been making huge waves in the international box office, whilst fans are getting increasingly excited about the release of 'Black Panther' next February, which will be the first superhero film to feature a black lead. Following that, the Avengers will come together once more for the highly anticipated 'Avengers: Infinity War'.

Exactly what we should expect from that film hasn't really been nailed down. We do know that the heroes involved will be doing everything in their power to stop Thanos from bringing together the powerful Infinity Stones for his gauntlet, and that the Guardians of the Galaxy will be joining the original Avengers team, but exactly how much of that story we'll get remains to be seen. It does look to be an emotional event, however.

Speaking with Collider, Feige explained: "I don’t know if anything surprises me necessarily, but it is overwhelming. I guess what has surprised me is how emotional it all is. Every day, every dailies, every time an actor that has never interacted with a character comes in contact with a character they’ve never interacted with, it’s amazing. It’s both funny, it’s moving and just seeing all those people together in one spot is—you know me, I like to look ahead. I like to focus on, I’m already in Black Panther world, even though we’re talking about Ragnarok. We keep going. There is something very special about those movies that is happening everyday on set. It’s not just the crew that feels it, or me that feels it, it’s all the cast who are all mega-stars in their own right, yet feel privileged to be doing what they’re doing every day. Joe and Anthony handling it, two movies at the same time, in an unprecedented fashion."

Whether it's "emotional" because of all of the work that's been done to get to this point, or for reasons yet to be revealed is something we'll find out next year, but for now it's back to listening to the rumours! Could some fan-favourite characters be getting the chop? We'll have to wait and see...
