Kerry Washington Gave Birth To Daughter - Two Weeks Ago!

Kerry Washington has impressively managed to keep the birth of her daughter a secret for almost a fortnight!

The 37-year-old actress gave birth to her daughter on 21st April but has managed to keep the birth a secret. It was revealed on Friday (2nd May), after TMZ obtained a birth certificate, that Washington has named her daughter Isabelle Amarachi. Isabelle was born on 21st April at approximately 5pm at Cedar Sinai Medical Center in Las Vegas.

Washington is best known for her role as Olivia Pope on the hit ABC drama, Scandal. Washington has been highly praised for her performance and has won or been nominated for numerous awards including a nomination last year for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

The third series of Scandal had to cut short as a result of Washington's pregnancy, as Fox reports. The show which was intended to run for 22 episodes was shortened by four. The show's season three finale aired on ABC on 17th April and it has yet to be announced if the series will return for a fourth season.

Isabelle is Washington's daughter with her husband, retired NFL player, Nnamdi Asomugha. Asomugha played for the San Francisco 49ers until he announced his retirement last year. The couple married in June 2014 and Isabelle is their first child together.
