Kelly Brook has admitted her relationship with David McIntosh - which ended in January - was ''unhealthy (and) toxic'' and claims she was being betrayed by the 'Gladiator' star on a ''daily basis''.
Kelly Brook's relationship with David McIntosh was ''toxic''.
The 'One Big Happy' star has admitted her whirlwind romance - which ended in the pair calling off their engagement in January this year - was ''unhealthy'' and she found herself turning into someone she didn't want to be.
She said: ''I wasn't myself. It wasn't me. Everyone was like: 'What are you doing?' and I was like: 'I don't know'.
''I lost sight of what was the right thing, what was the wrong thing. I got caught up in something unhealthy [and] toxic. I'm so glad that is so far away from me now.''
The 35-year-old model-and-actress insists she wasn't ''in control'' of her life when she was with the 'Gladiator' star and felt as though she was being betrayed on a ''daily basis''.
She added: ''Back then, I wasn't in control of what was happening in my life. A lot of my family were really upset for me [but] I couldn't do anything about it. I couldn't control what was happening.
''When you put all your trust into something and it's betraying you on a daily basis, it's confusing. Now I don't have that any more so of course I'm going to be happier.''
Kelly - who is rumoured to be romancing judo instructor Jeremy Parisi - is looking for a man who loves her and not the lifestyle she could offer them.
She added to The Sun on Sunday's Fabulous magazine: ''[I've learned] I have a lifestyle that is very attractive and I need to make sure people are attracted to me and not my lifestyle.
''I have to understand that I'm older now and if I've got these young boys running after me, it's got to be for the right reason. They're like little puppies and they're in awe of it all. I can't be dealing with that.''
