Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards claims going to church on a Sunday will help you live forever.
Rolling Stones rocker Keith Richards believes going to church and living a clean lifestyle are the keys to immortality.
The guitarist was asked by a fan during the band's first ever Twitter Q&A what he thinks the secret to living forever is and gave his tips.
When asked the question, he responded: ''I ain't there yet! So far so good. I think a clean and healthy life, plenty of exercise, go to church on a Sunday.''
The 71-year-old musician is famous for his hellraising lifestyle which has seen him booze to excess, take drugs and bed countless women during his years on the road with the band, and he has outlived many of his rock 'n' roll peers.
Keith has only become religious more recently, which could have something to do with the influence of his devout Christian wife, former model Patti Hansen.
The 'Brown Sugar' hitmaker was recently cited on a religious views website Hollowverse, where he said his family when he was growing up weren't religious people and he didn't go to church on Sundays.
He said: ''There's nobody in my family that ever had anything to do with organized religion... Thank God, otherwise Sundays would have been even more boring than they were... I don't want to see my old friend Lucifer just yet. He's the guy I'm gonna see, isn't it? I'm not going to the Other place, let's face it.''
Then Keith admitted he is now a spiritualist and that's the reason he collaborated with Jamaican singer Justin Hinds on their 'Wingless Angels' album.
He added: ''Spirit is all around me. Very much. That's why I did the 'Wingless Angels' album: very spiritual music. But mine is a very nebulous spirituality. I wouldn't care to put a name on it. I wouldn't want to place any bets. Religion is too much like Las Vegas. 'Oh, you've picked the wrong God. Sorry, it's Allah.' I prefer to take the larger point of view.''
Elsewhere in the Twitter Q&A, singer Sir Mick Jagger admitted he enjoys secret karaoke session to keep his voice in good shape.
The 71-year-old frontman revealed: ''You have to do warm-ups and look after yourself.''
