Katy Perry has told of how she didn't exactly invite the level of attention she got from Miley Cyrus during a Bangerz tour concert in Los Angeles. Widely circulated footage from the tour sees Miley jumping off the stage during 'Adore You' and planting a huge kiss on Perry, who is known for her hit 'I Kissed A Girl.'

Katy Perry Has Revealed That She Didn't Exactly Invite The Miley Cyrus Tongue-Fest.

"I just kissed a girl and I really liked it a lot," Cyrus announced after she had climbed back onto the stage but it appears that Katy didn't share her sentiment.

Katy doesn't look like she's trying to fight off Miley in the video but the pop star has told Australia's Sunrise that all was not as it seemed. "I just walked up to her to give her like a friendly girly kiss, you know, as girls do, and then she like tried to move her head and go deeper and I pulled away," Katy told the hosts, adding "God knows where that tongue has been. We don't know! That tongue is so infamous!"

Miley's controversial Bangerz world tour has earned a lot of publicity its raunchy onstage antics and risqué outfits. The 'We Can't Stop' singer has also gotten into the habit of encouraging her fans to make out with each other during the show. "I don't know if you know this, but tongue is really appreciated at a Miley Cyrus show," the singer encouraged at her LA concert.

29 year-old Perry touched down in Sydney to promote her upcoming Prismatic world tour, which will land in Australia in November. Whilst there, she was greeted with a dedicated Katy Perry Day on the early morning talkshow where she petted a koala, hosted the weather forecast and answered questions from fans who were lining the streets outside the studios.

The singer is currently being pursued by unconfirmed reports that she has split from her boyfriend, John Mayer. She and the singer-songwriter are said to have called it quits recently with rumours of a non-committal and unreliable Mayer, or worse another woman, circulating in the press. Sunrise hosts Kochie and Samantha were careful not to broach the subject but one young female fan had to know if Katy had a boyfriend.

"If I have a boyfriend?" shrieked Katy, a little too manically, adding "All of my fans are my boyfriend!" She gestured to the koala she was stroking, adding "this is my boyfriend" to which the host laughed "that's a very diplomatic answer, Katy," before the conversation swiftly moved on.

Katy Perry's Prismatic tour will kick off on the 7th May in Ireland and conclude on the 27th November in Australia.
