Moral of the story: never pierce your own nose.
Just throwing out a little warning here – if you’re afraid/grossed out/have a phobia of anything relating to needles and piercings, this probably isn’t a great read for you. Cool? Cool. Proceed at your own risk.
Katy Perry is just a little bit cooler now.
So Katy Perry got her nose pierced. She’s a sane, legal adult in charge of all decisions relating to her body, knows that this won’t hurt her personal and professional life and the end result looks cool af, so I’m totally on board to see pictures of her brand new nose stud all over my internet in future.
What I’m not entirely sure about is whether I really needed to watch her getting it pierced. As a fellow nose stud wearer, here’s the deal – it looks super cool, but the procedure is pretty painful and kind of gross, especially if you have a thing about noses. A 15-second video on her own, personal Instagram though – that’s something we can all live with and Miss Perry has every right to post, right? Plus, it’s a clean, professional job, unlike the last time the Roar singer allegedly did it to herself.

“Last time I did this I was on my own with a safety pin & cube of ice @ 13. This time I thought it was best I left it to the pro's. Sorry mom (again),” Perry added along with the post.
So Katy Perry has a cool nose stud now. That’s it. That’s the story. We can all go back to our lives now (it does look awesome though). Also, don’t pierce your nose on your own, that’s just a recipe for a giant, inflamed, tomato-like bulge on your face, probably.
