Katie Holmes ''loves'' wearing men's clothes.

The 36-year-old actress confessed that while she is fond of the latest colour trends for women's clothing she prefers to sport menswear pieces because the sleeve lengths are better suited to her ''long arms''.

She said at the Desigual show at New York Fashion Week yesterday (12.02.15): ''I really love the colours for women that will be coming out for the fall, but I have to admit that I do love to wear men's pieces.

''Long men's trenches are the way to go... I have long arms, so they reach the length of my body better than a women's coat can.''

The brunette beauty - who has an eight-year-old daughter, Suri, with her ex-husband Tom Cruise - added that the youngster is still in the process of perfecting her own style.

She told the New York Post newspaper: ''She is still young. She has a style of her own, so it is still in development!''

The 'Batman Begins' star - who was joined on the front row by Victoria's Secret angel Adriana Lima - looked stunning as she arrived at the event in a black leather jacket and Desigual shift dress.

The pair watched Adriana's fellow VS model, Behati Prinsloo, strut her stuff down the runway in the Spanish label's vibrant designs.
