Kate Winslet has married nephew of music mogul Richard Branson, Ned Rock'nRoll in a super secret ceremony in New York, The Sun reports, and Leonardo Dicaprio gave her away.
The ceremony was so private, in fact, that neither the bride's nor the groom's parents even knew about it. "The couple had been engaged since the summer," Winslet's personal rep said. The ceremony was attended by Winslet's two children from previous marriages, Mia and Joe, along with "very few friends and family," her publicist added. A source revealed that, "Kate and Ned got married in a really romantic and private ceremony. They had been planning it for a while. They are both so happy and very much in love. Kate is very private and didn't want anyone to know. She asked if Leo would give her away because they are best friends." A friend said: "Kate has never looked so happy. Since she and Ned got together it has been full steam ahead. Marriage has always been on the cards and they've been talking about doing it for the last couple of months." Another source said of the ceremony earlier this month: "It wasn't a spur-of-the-moment thing, they had been planning it but wanted to keep it secret."
This is Winslet's third marriage. She had previously been married to British director Jim Threapleton (from 1998 to 2001) and "Skyfall" director Sam Mendes (2003 to 2010). RocknRoll, 34, was previously married to British socialite Eliza Pearson.
