Karl Lagerfeld doesn't think people should have cosmetic surgery to look younger, and particularly despises the effects of lip fillers.
Karl Lagerfeld think people who have cosmetic surgery look like they've been in car accidents.
The outspoken fashion designer slammed those who go under the knife in a bid to look younger, and believes having lip fillers give the ''worst'' result of any procedure.
He said: ''Nothing makes you look older than attempting to look young. You can fool anyone, apart from the young.
''The worst are the lip operations. There are people who have it done and I don't recognise them afterwards. They look like they flew through the windscreen during a car accident and were patched up badly afterwards.''
The 80-year-old designer also insisted he ''doesn't know'' anyone his own age because he finds his generation ''terrible'' so he'd rather hang out with people much younger.
He told Zeit.de: ''I don't know anyone from my generation. I find those people terrible.
''Even younger people are starting to talk about circulation problems. I have extreme self discipline, which I can barely call self discipline anymore because I can't see any other way to be.''
And Karl insists he has always been that way, preferring not to socialise with other children when he was young.
He said: ''I didn't play with other children, I thought they were dreadful. The only thing I did was read, learn languages and sketch. As a child I only had one wish: to be grown up. Now I don't find that important anymore.''
