Kanye West's 'Yeezus' tour kicked off in Seattle, WA, on Saturday night (Oct 19th), and it is already making the headlines. West's conscientious nature made the 'Yeezus' kick-off show 2 hours late, as his tea was thoroughly checking that every little detail was in its correct position, according to MTV News, who reported a security guard divulged this information.

However, the 2 hour delay was later reported to be caused by a production truck being stolen and record producer Mike Dean, tweeted "In case anyone wondering why we're late starting in Seattle. A truck was stolen last night. Patience. All is well."

Kendrick Lamar opened with a 45 minute 9-song set that consisted mostly of songs from his latest critically acclaimed album 'good kid, M.A.A.D. City' and according to Rolling Stone the 26 year-old rapper gave a "truly inspired performance."

Kanye West's set which included songs from all of his six studio albums left the Seattle audience in shock and awe. The 'All of the Lights' singer wore four mask throughout the night on a set that included a 60 foot tall mountain piece with a huge projection screen hanging above it.

The ginormous centrepiece opened up and though a thick cloud of white smoke a group of women walked out two by two clothed in white, with West singing behind them. The purpose of the white costumes is to create religious imagery, which became clear later on when none other than Jesus Christ joined the 36 year-old on stage.

"White Jesus, is that you?...Oh Shit!" Kanye jokingly said to the Jesus actor, according to MTV News. This led into West performing his 'College Dropout' single 'Jesus Walks' and as the Jesus look-alike stood at the top of the mountain, Kanye and the group of women bowed to him.

The religious themed extravaganza will surly feel a backlash of criticism in the near future, as always Kanye gets the public talking.

The tour is in support of West's latest studio album 'Yeezus' which was released on June 18th 2013.
