Kanye West is back on the touring circuit and what's more the rapper will be heading out on his first solo touring in half a decade with some very exciting support. Compton's latest big name rap saviour Kendrick Lamar will be joining Kanye when he takes to the road and travels North America later this year.

Kanye West Tour

West tweeted the tour poster (above) on Friday (6 Sept.) and then uploaded further information about the tour, including the full list of tour date (listed below) and information about tickets on his official website later in the day. Kendrick will serve as Kanye's supporting artist for the majority of the tour, with an alternate opening act filling in for the 'Swimming Pools' rapper at varying points in the tour. The tour will kick off on 19 October in Seattle and comes to an end on 7 December in Houston. No word on whether he will take the tour overseas yet.

The announcement of his tour did come as a surprise somewhat given his reluctance to tour as a solo artist over the last couple of years. He chose not to tour on the back of his 2010 release My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and has only appeared at festivals and one-off shows (like his recent Kazakhstan performance) as a solo performer since his 2008 'Glow in the Dark' tour. He did go on tour with Jay-Z to support Watch The Throne however. On top of this, the fact that he became a father less than two months ago may have put him off going on tour, but clearly it hasn't.

Tickets for the 'Yeezus Tour' go on sale on Friday, 13 September. The full list of dates are below.
