Kanye West Was Joined By An Uninvited Guest During His Controversial Headline Slot At Britain's Glastonbury Festival On Saturday Night (27jun15) When A Man Leaped Onto The Stage.
The hip-hop star defied his critics by putting in an impressive performance to close the second day of the iconic event, rattling through a string of hit tracks and soaring hundreds of feet above the crowd on a crane during a show-stopping rendition of Touch The Sky.
But he was left looking baffled earlier in the evening when British comedian Simon Brodkin ran onto the stage as West performed Black Skinhead and leaped up and down clutching a microphone before a security worker bundled him into the wings.
West had faced fierce opposition to his inclusion on the bill, including a petition signed by 130,000 demanding his removal from the festival line-up, but he easily won over the crowd with a powerful set of hit tracks and fan-favourites including Stronger, All Day, Power, Bound 2, Mercy, and FourFiveSeconds, his collaboration with Rihanna and Sir Paul MCCartney.
He also prompted a huge singalong with the opening section of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody.
The rapper was joined onstage by Bon Iver rocker Justin Vernon for their track Lost in the World - prior to which he paid tribute to his wife Kim Kardashian for inspiring the lyrics - and a rendition of Hold My Liquor.
The superstar couple had earlier arrived at the festival site in south west England by helicopter, a journey Kardashian relayed to fans by posting a photograph online showing the couple aboard the aircraft.
At the close of his set, West told the crowd, "Thank you all very much. I love you."
The Who are due to headline the main stage on the final night of Glastonbury 2015 on Sunday (28Jun15).
