Kanye West Has Avoided A Trial In His Paparazzo Assault Lawsuit After Settling The Case Out Of Court With An Apology.
Photographer Daniel Ramos filed a civil suit against the Stronger hitmaker in 2013 after they became embroiled in a scuffle outside Los Angeles International Airport.
West was convicted of misdemeanour battery for attacking Ramos and was sentenced to two years of probation, anger management sessions, and 250 hours of community service a year ago.
Now the two parties have agreed to move on from the fall-out after Ramos' lawyer, Gloria Allred, brokered a deal between the pair, according to TMZ.com.
Part of the settlement required West to personally apologise to Ramos, and the pair has since been photographed shaking hands. It is not known if a financial payment was also involved.
Allred says, "We believe that this case sent an important message. Celebrities are not above the law, and they have no right to physically attack someone simply because they were asked a question."
