Rapper Kanye West has opened up about his fears of looking like a bad parent by making a mistake in front of the paparazzi cameras.
The hip-hop star reveals he sometimes wakes in a cold sweat in the middle of the night and rushes to practice putting baby daughter North's seat in his car over fears he'll be caught fumbling with the device or struggling to strap her in correctly.
Speaking on his mother-in-law-to-be Kris Jenner's Tv talk show on Friday (23Aug13), he joked, "I'm supposed to be a musical genius, but I can't work the car seat."
He also poked fun at his stage invasion at the MTv Video Music Awards in 2009, when he interrupted Taylor Swift's first award acceptance speech to protest her win, admitting that becoming a dad to a girl really made him regret his actions.
He told Jenner, "The last thing I would want to happen to my daughter is some crazy drunk black guy in a leather shirt to come up and cut her off at an awards show, that's the last thing I'd want.
"I was just a crazy rock star (back then)... (and) anything considered a 'mistake' will help me make better decisions in the future."
The rapper will be back at the Video Music Awards this weekend (24-25Aug13) and is billed to perform.
