Drake and Kanye hit the stage together in Toronto, after celebrating at a club the night before, to close out the 'Yeezus' tour.
Kanye West wrapped the current leg of his North American ‘Yeezus’ tour in Toronto this past Monday (Dec 23rd).
Joining him on stage was Canadian’s own hip-hop superstar Drake, which confirms any animosity the two artists had in the past is officially over, Consequence of Sound report.
The pair performed their 2009 collaboration ‘Forever’ live for the first time ever and then Drake played the track ‘All Me’ which is from his hit album ‘Nothing Was The Same’.
This came after West invited the ‘Started From The Bottom’ rapper to an after party in the same city to thank him for coming to the ‘Black Skinhead’ rapper’s first Toronto show.
The lucky people in attendance witnessed the two megastars rap each other’s songs.
Drake and Kanye’s recent partnership comes in the midst of the ‘Bound 2’ rapper calling Toronto’s hometown hero a ‘rap god’, step aside Eminem.
When Mr West was playing at the Air Canada Center the day before (Dec 22nd), Drake was in attendance showing his support, and this did not go unnoticed.
As Kanye was concluding his performance he addressed the packed crowd and said, “I want to thank the rap God Drake for coming out tonight.”
Drake posted a photo of West from his concert on his Instagram page, writing, “Guess the money shoulda changed him.”
Prior to performing in Canada, West appeared on Chicago’s Power 92 radio station and as usual went one of his rants, but he quoted Drake’s verse on Nicki Minaj’s “Moment 4 Life” while speaking on breaking boundaries.
"I need to be a poster child of what it means to break all boundaries,” said Kanye. “'Cause I look at the inside of this TV, I look at all this matrix we in. And I'm like, man, ain't none of this real. The only thing real is your family, your loved ones, the time that you have. Only luxury is time and the only thing promised is that you gonna die one day. So like Drizzy say, he said, 'Everybody dies but not everybody lives.' So we just gonna live this to the maximum, to the fullest."
Is this a sign of collaborations between the two in the future?
