Too much ranting not enough rapping?
For the second night in a row, Kanye West has drawn the ire of Wireless Festival goers after he started his set late and embarked on another lengthly rant. The Yezzus rapper had been filling in for Drake who had to pull out of the headline slot due to illness.
Kanye West probably should have let the music do the talking
Taking to the stage behind schedule at London’s Finsbury Park and wearing a bejewelled mask, Kanye stopped the music 15 minutes into his set and turned off the screens before delivering another long rant.
Telling the crowd he was actually “very shy in real life”, West said, “Sometimes it's hard because I'm too shy to carry off a lot. I'm arrogant and shy and a little bit lazy.” Adding, “I'm too shy to lie to anybody and I'm too arrogant to make myself lie to anyone because lies take too much work.”

The Daily Mail reports that the rapper talked for around 20minutes while impatient fans began booing with some sections of the crowd even starting a “we want Drake chant.” Festival goers soon took to twitter to express their annoyance at Kanye with one user writing, '#kanyewest has now been giving a sermon/speech for twenty minutes solid. Those poor Drake fans, this is NOT what they paid for. #wireless.’ While another said, '#kanyewest absolutely ruined my #wireless experience!!! Left early... You're a t*** #wewantdrake.’

His Saturday performance marked the second night in a row the rapper faced boos from the crowd due to his legthly rants. On Friday night he launched into a 20 minute tirade against the fashion industry during his set saying, “I'm not going to mention any names but... Nike, Louis Vuitton and Gucci. Don't discriminate against me 'cos I'm a black man making music.”
West was filling in for Drake who had to pull out due to illness
The festival, which takes place in Birmingham and London was meant to be headlined by Drake, but the 'Hold On We're Going Home' rapper was forced to cancel his appearance due to illness. He later released a statement saying, 'To my beloved fans, it truly breaks my heart that I won't be able to perform as planned at Wireless and Roskilde this weekend. 'I got sick a few days ago and although I am on my way to bouncing back, my doctors have made it clear that I am not physically fit to fly or deliver the performance my fans expect and deserve from me.'
Tonight West will take the stage again, this time in Birmingham, for the festival's closing night.
