Sorry Australia. Europe is safe, though.
Kanye West has delayed his Australian tour, presumably with a burst of inspiration and fresh ideas, to work on his new album. Hopeful Kanye fans down-under were hoping the timing of this announcement meant they were the subjects of an April Fool’s prank, but alas, that’s not the case.
“Due to unexpected timing requirements to finish his highly anticipated new studio album, scheduled for a 2014 release, Kanye West regretfully announces the postponement of his upcoming tour dates in Australia,” read a statement, confirming the fans’ worst fears.
West previously confirmed that he wants to release the album this summer. "I haven't named my next album, but I have started on it," he said. "I always write down philosophies all the time, so I'll just have some thoughts and every time I think of it I write, and I'm just collecting beats, I'm just constantly working. I'd like to put out more product, I'd like have another album out by next summer."

Kanye’s fans over in Europe won’t have to worry though. After fears that he same fate would befall his European tour, it has been confirmed that the 2015 dates are set to go ahead. “West will perform at this summer's UK and European festivals as scheduled. He is looking forward to returning to the UK and Europe for a full tour in January 2015,” added the statement, which was posted to the Rapper’s Facebook profile.
