Proof that some people can really sell everything and some people will really buy anything.
How far would you go in pursuit of bizarre memorabilia from your favourite pop star? Locks of hair? Cigarette butts? Bags of air? That last one isn’t a joke. Sellers on eBay are currently offering bags full of air from Kanye West’s 2013-2014 Yeezus tour for purchase.
Earlier this week, a listing on the internet auction site from a seller in Pennsylvania (that has since been removed) claimed to have air from a concert given by Kanye West in support of his last album Yeezus. The description simply read: “Held bag open and sealed air in”.
Air from Kanye West gigs is apparently on sale via eBay
Incredibly, when it was removed the bidding price had risen to $60,100. With shipping costs of $3.58, if you were interested.

Despite the glaringly obvious fact that it’s pretty difficult to prove that a bag actually does contain air from a Kanye gig, at least fifteen similar listings have appeared subsequently. As of Saturday morning, a similar listing is up to $10,000 whose description reads “Front row air!!!”
Another claims to have air from the VIP section of a New York at the Barclay’s Center, with the description reading “I have a bunch of these from different shows of all the artists I love. It's just something I do. I didn't know others did as well!”
Some other pretty disgusting listings include air “plus some sweat”; and even “flatulence (gas) from Kanye.” Yes, ladies and gentlemen, a Kanye fart can be yours for the princely sum of 99 cents and free shipping.
Kanye himself has not yet made an official comment about the auctions, but his wife Kim Kardashian seemed pretty amused by the whole situation, tweeting “WOW he can sell anything! Lol”. And in case you wondering – no refunds.
