Kaiser Chiefs are set to release a new album after frontman Ricky Wilson appears on 'The Voice'.

The 'I Predict A Riot' hitmaker is making the most of his upcoming stint as a judge on the BBC talent show, alongside Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am and Kylie Minogue, whose work ethic has inspired the band.

Ricky told The Sun newspaper: ''Doing the TV thing has shown me how hard artists like Kylie work.

''Being on that show, I've got to step it up a bit because people are going to be scrutinising it.''

The band will release their new record - Education, Education, Education & War - on March 31.

Ricky and his band mates - Andrew 'Whitey' White, Simon Rix, Vijay Mistry and Nick 'Peanut' Baines - have been recording the tracks in America, in between filming show auditions.

The 35-year-old judge is replacing The Script's Danny O'Donoghue on the British version of 'The Voice', with Kylie in Jessie J's spot for the new series.

Indie rock band Kaiser Chiefs formed in 1996 and Leeds, Yorkshire, and have released four studio albums, including their debut 'Employment' in 2005 and their last record 'The Future Is Medieval' in 2011, along with a compilation album 'Souvenir: The Singles 2004-2012'.

Founding member and drummer Nick Hodgson left the group last year and was replaced by Vijay Mistry from the band Club Smith.
