Justin Timberlake was so nervous when his William Rast clothing line hit the catwalk at New York Fashion Week on Monday (16Feb09), he insisted that bailing out the Grammy Awards was nothing by comparison.
The pop superstar was asked to fill in for an absent Rihanna at the Grammys on 8 February (09) - and he faced the prospect of having to persuade his hero Al Green to join him onstage.
But that last minute phonecall to a bathing Green was nowhere near as nerve-racking as his fashion show.
Before his latest designs hit the runway, Timberlake said, "I think I'm actually a little more nervous tonight than I would be calling Al Green two hours before the Grammys and asking him to come sing Let's Stay Together."
