Justin made his ex’s list of people she’d like to work with and it seems the feeling is mutual.
In news that’s bound to delight fans of early 2000s pop, Justin Timberlake has said he would ‘absolutely’ collaborate with former girlfriend Britney Spears. The two ex ‘Micky Mouse Club’ members were one of the hottest couples of the late 90s and early 2000s until they went their separate ways in 2001, before ever taking the chance to record a duet.
Justin Timberlake appears to be up for working with ex Britney Spears
Last month when Britney took part in a fan Q&A for 'Most Requested Live' with Romeo she was asked to reveal her dream collaborators and surprisingly, her ex made the cut. "Aerosmith seems really good and bright. He's a genius I think. He's very rock n' roll. He sings from his soul," Britney said. ”Gwen Stefani, I think she's great…Justin Timberlake is very good.”

While 'very good' might not be the highest praise we’ve ever heard, Britney’s comments were enough to ignite fans who had been dreaming of a Britney/Justin collaboration ever since their double-denim heyday.
Then when appearing at the Toronto International Film Festival this week, Justin was told by E! News that Britney was up for working together and asked if he felt the same. "She did? Sure! Absolutely, absolutely,” he said.

"I have a 17 month old so I don't get the headline news,” he added, "I apologise for not being in the know…I'm accessible, give us a call!” The closest Britney and Justin ever came to collaborating was when he provided backing vocals for track ‘What It's Like to Be Me’ which he also co-wrote from the 2001 album Britney. However Spears was thought to be the inspiration for his hit song 'Cry Me A River', which came with a video featuring a girl who looked suspiciously like her.
