Justin Timberlake has issued a public apology for a joke video made by him that was leaked online, showing homeless people and transvestites in Los Angeles giving the couple their congrats after his and Jessica Biel's wedding, The Mirror reports.
Timberlake apologised for the "silly, unsavoury video," that's shows three different people from around LA giving the newlyweds their best wishes. The 19-second video, entitled Greetings from your Hollywood friends who just couldn't make it, was created by a friend of Justin, real estate agent Justin Huchel, and has since caused a massive backlash against the singer.
One of the people 'interviewed' is a homeless man, who is believed to have been paid #25 to utter his scripted lines, tells the camera: "Justin, Jessica... I haven't seen you in a long time. My gift is in the mail."
Afterwards, a transvestite is also asked for his/her word of advice, with the man in drag saying: "Good luck - and watch your man."
The final person is a shirtless, bearded man - also believed to be homeless - who tells the camera: "Jessica, it's me, Robert."
Today (Oct 26) Justin posted an open letter on his website apologising for anyone who was offended by the video, admitting that it was made by well meaning friends. He goes on to write that the video was not shown during his lavish wedding in Southern Italy last week.
